Sushma Swaraj asked for report after Nigerians Students Attacked in UP

New Delhi: Sushma Swaraj on Monday sought out report on the Nigerians students being attacked by Greater Noida locals. Even she asked newly appointed UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath about the incident that has sparked with drug involvement.

A local 12th class student Manish Khari 19 year old was missing for a day; then he died of drug overdose with cardiac arrest on Saturday. Last he was seen mingling with group of Nigerians that prompted the locals to FIR against these Nigerians native. These Nigerians students were released as there was lack of evidence which further agitated the local residents.

On Sunday 27th residents were protesting peacefully with permission at Pari chowk. But when they saw some of Nigerians walk by; some of the protesters starting shouting at them and attacked them. Although police were there and attack was thwarted, three Nigerians were admitted in the nearby hospital with severe injuries.

Police said they have the video evidence of mob attackers involved in the case and will arrest those who were part of this furore. They already arrested six or seven from the spot.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has talked of fair and impartial investigation of the whole incident.
