Kangana Ranaut Severely Injured While Filming Sword Fighting Sequence For Her Next Movie

While shooting a sword fighting sequence for her upcoming film “Manikarnika – the Queen Of Jhansi” in Hyderabad, the “Queen” famed actress Kangana Ranaut sustain as serious injury today.

The accident occurred while she was filming the sequence with her co-actor Nihar Pandya when a sword hit her forehead leaving a deep scar in between her forehead.

A source from the unit of the film said that she was immediately hospitalized.

The source told,”Kangana was immediately rushed to Apollo hospital nearby, where she was admitted into the ICCU.”

Talking about the intensity of the accident and the actress’s current condition, the source said, “She got 15 stitches on her forehead and will be under observation in the hospital for a few days. The examining doctor said that it was a close shave for her because the cut was too close to her bone.”

The producer of the film affirmed that the accident took place despite both Nihar and Kangana rehearse the sequence repeatedly. In fact, the producer said that 30 year old actress insisted on filming the sequence herself and rejected the idea of using a body double.

A source confirmed that Kangana will be released from the hospital next week.

Known for being super bold, the actress has decided to sport the scar in the film.

The stunts for this film are being choreographed by Hollywood’s famous action director Nick Powell who is in Hyderabad since the last week for filming the sequence.

In the month of May, Kangana was seen launching a 20 feet tall poster of the film in Varanasi’s famous Dashashwamedh Ghat.
