Making a debut in a film starring Shah Rukh Khan is a dream of every aspiring actor. The general notion is that such a debut will serve as the perfect launch pad for the debutant and set the actor’s career in the Mumbai film industry. But the 51 year old superstar has went against this perception and observed that merely working with him is not sufficient for anyone to be tagged as “an actor”.
Most of the actresses who have featured opposite SRK are now soaring high in the industry. Talking about DeepikaPadukone and Anushka Sharma, both making their debut opposite King Khan, Shah Rukh said that both of them had some experience in their kitty before they started their journey in Bollywood.
“Just working with me doesn’t make anyone an actor. Girls who have started with me, either they had done a film in another language. Like DeepikaPadukone, she had done a film in other language, in case of Anushka Sharma she did modeling,” saidShah Rukh.
Talking about Pakistani sensation Mahira Khan who was his co-start in his recently released film “Raees”, Shah Rukh said he thinks that working with him will not give her any added benefit and will hardly make any difference to her career. Although Mahira Khan made her first Bollywood appearance in “Raaes”, she is established actress in Pakistan.
