With a few days left for the first round of Election in Uttar Pradesh, slinging mud at each other continues as Rahul Gandhi attacks PM Narendra Modi while Akhilesh holds rallies and Union Minister Giriraj Singh raises Ram Temple issue. It has been exhausting for all the political parties since they deployed whatever they could starting from rallies to speeches to road shows to press conference.

After approaching the voters in Samli, Aligarh and Mathura, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav joined Rahul Gandhi to brand Modi as ‘anti-farmer’ and accused the PM Narendra Modi of being inept to keep the promises made during the 2014 general elections. The comment, made by the Congress Leader in regard of the government not being able to help the farmers suffering under burden of heavy loans, came only after the Union Budget promising an agricultural credit of Rs10 lakh crore. In quite a same manner, PM was accused on the ground of making false promises of youth employment. However, FM Arun Jaitley announced ‘Sankalp’ program to boost the youth employment. Hitting the nail on the head, Gandhi brought up the issue of farmer’s suicide and commented, “The poor farmers have hope that Prime Minister Modi would listen to their plight but the latter does not have even one second for them.” He went on to say, “This is an alliance of youth and we will work hard for the development of Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh Yadav has done a good work in the state but would work better after this alliance formation.

In his bid to promote the ‘Cycle’, the UP CM commented, “The Prime Minister is saying there is a storm of BJP but we Samajwadis know how to ride a cycle against the wind.” As he listed the achievements that his government accomplished, he focused on the alliance of youth that could bring a wave of development, if elected.

On the other side, Union Minister Giriraj Singh commented, “We do not know the exact time when the Ram Temple will be built in India. But if not in Ayodhya, if not in India, will it be built in Pakistan?” Reflecting the same tone, Vinay Katiyar confirmed that the will take the issue to the purview of law.
