As there was news on stricter H-1B Visa rules being signed on by newly elected US president Donald Trump; from far corner of the world Australia has abolished its 457 visa programmes for foreign workers.

Citing the main Australian first approach for skilled jobs Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said that “We are an immigration nation, but the fact remains: Australian workers must have priority for Australian jobs, so we are abolishing the 457 visa, the visa that brings temporary foreign workers into our country,”

There were reportedly 95,757 workers using this 457 visa programme with Indians majority then followed by UK, China & so on.

This unprecedented change in the Visa policy is made to tackle the increasing number of unemployed Australians PM Turnbull encountered.

There will be new programme that is to be announced later with some new restrictions that allows foreigners to work in Australia.

With Visa regulations changing in Major countries like US and Australia, we might see some makeshift changes for Indians to work abroad.
