Chinese Media has strongly criticized the Dalai Lama visit in the controversial northeastern border with China. Their foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua said this visit has “gravely damaged” the relations between the India-China relations. Large parts of Arunachal Pardesh have border issues with China claiming this area as South Tibet while India authorizes by saying they are the part of Arunachal Pradesh only.
Their Global Media has accused the India counterpart of using Dalai Lama for openly using him as diplomatic tool for wining more leverage against the controversial land.
China also summoned out Indian envoy Vijay Gokhale, in deep protest against the measures that sparked Dalai Lama visit to Arunachal Pradesh
Kiren Rijiju who is accompanying the Holy spiritual leader in his visit recommended that China shouldn’t interfere in their internal affairs.
Whereas the Holy Dalai Lama was quoted saying “India has never used me against China. I am a messenger of the ancient Indian thought and I talk about ahimsa, peace, harmony and secular ethics wherever I go.” To reporters during his weeklong visit to Arunachal Pradesh. He thanked the Indian Govt for his recent visit in this part of the country from where he entered India in1959 and told media that he has emotional connection with this northeastern state. He will be delivering discourses in Dirang and Tawang area with his large followers.
