The financial capital of India, Mumbai, once again got its image tainted as a college girl was allegedly raped in the city’s suburb, Charkop, on Friday inside a moving car after being kidnapped.
According to the local cops who are in charge of investigating the matter which took place around 7 am on Thursday, the victim was pulled into a car and then was sexually assaulted by three men.
The accused drove the Eeco car to Madh Island in Mallad where they allegedly raped the girl.
As of now, the police have registered a case with charges of both rape and kidnapping but no arrests have been made.
The cops are yet to receive the medical report of the victims.
The incident once again points out the deficit in providing women proper security on the streets of metropolitan cities.
