Today was the last day for campaigning in the MCD election with both BJP and AAP party going head to head in this election.

AAP is claiming that their internal surveys have ranked them as holding the majority of the seats with 218 out of 272 municipal wards.

As seen in the recent election in many states and ongoing popularity of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will this election be favour of the BJP party. Most of the news surveys are also favouring the centre ruled BJP too. Meanwhile 48 hours ban is imposed on serving alcohol in Delhi for this weekend due to the municipal elections respectively.

Whereas incumbent CM Arvind Kejriwal has said people should hold themselves responsible for dengue outbreaks if they vote for BJP in the MCD elections and urged the voters not to waste votes on Congress option.  Delhi Congress Chief also replied by saying that Kejriwal is now playing the blame game only.

All the three bodies in the Municipal Corporation being North, South & east totalling 272 wards will go on poll this coming Sunday.
