Modi Looking Forward Strengthening Ties With Euro Tour

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started his second international tour of this year with 6 day four nations’ tours of the European nations. Germany, Russia, Spain and France are the four country heads he will meeting during this tour further enhancing India’s economic ties with these developed countries and looking forward to make new investments.

Germany is where he landed first and held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at Schloss Meseberg. Germany has held the position of European top economy tag for many years and India with its large population has always held good relation with this country. Brexit effect on India and EU, latest GST rollout in India, countering terrorism and further enhancing industries talks with German counterpart.

China’s One Belt One Road (OBOR) was one of the main discussion points about making trade signing from India’s refusal to Germany concerns about free trade agreement.

German official recent statement that they are looking more form East leader then West as their main bilateral trade partners are from China and India after disappointment from UK & US Trumps era is further strengthening India’s impact in Global trade.

His next stop will be historical in Spain with first Indian head visiting this country in almost three decades. He is scheduled to meet King Felipe VI and hold talks with the current President Mariano Rajoy for enhancing economic bilateral ties, combating terrorism as well as CEO’s of Spanish industry for making investment in ‘Make in India’ initiative.

From Spain he will move to Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin with addressing St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) being Indian enjoying the guest host status there. He will also visit State Hermitage Museum, Institute of Oriental Manuscripts and also pay homage to Piskarovskoye Cemetery.

In his last days he is supposed to meet the newly elected France President Emmanuel Macron from June 2 to June 3. Investment talks on industry, defence, nuclear, renewable energy, railways and urban development discussions are high on his agenda.
