With Baahubali proving to be international success there was hype of making movies of similar capability, and then Mahabharata with Rs1000 crore budgets was announced. Malayalam star Mohanlal as Bheem was confirmed and news are that Nagarjuna has been approached for the role of Karna.
“Director Sukumaran had initiated the talks with me some time ago for Karna’s role. But, nothing is finalised yet and I’m not too sure how long does it take for things to shape up,” Superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna himself confirmed the news.
Mohanlal had earlier confirmed his participation in the facebook post “If this story needs to be told to the world then it need be told in the best way and beautifully. And for this you need a world-class budget. It is a privilege that I am playing the role of Bheem. I want to thank them for his faith in me.” This will be the first time that these two superstars will act together in this mega epic movie.
Randaamoozham or Mahabharta is being touted as one of the biggest spending movie ever with its Rs 1000 crore budget backed by UAE based Indian businessman. Plans are to start this film in 2018 while it will be released in year 2020 backed by six language for Indian audiences and other foreign language.
