UDAN SCHEME TO BE FLAGGED BY PM TODAY

Today Prime Minister will flag UDAN Scheme which is propagated for boosting air travel within regional areas in affordable low cost flights.

This Scheme will be flagged from Shimla where PM as he will launch the start of new chapter in Indian aviation.

UDAN which stands for Ude Desk Ka Aam Naagrik is unique scheme for stimulating regional connectivity within aviation market.

Initial prices for 1 hour journey will be charged at Rs 2,500 for approx 500Km distance on using flight respectively.

UDAN Scheme is strategic part of National Civil Aviation Policy (NCAP) since its release in June 2016.

Under this Scheme 5 choose airlines will be connecting 70 Indian airports operating on 128 routes. With total of 22 states and 2 union territories are shown to be connected in the 27 proposals that have been approved by Airports Authority of India.

Starting Airlines that will be used under UDAN Schemes are Airline Allied Services, SpiceJet, Air Odhisa, Air Deccan and Turbo Megha which will be operating these flights having seat capacity from 19 to 78 respectively.

He will also be addressing a rally in the Ridge Maidan Shimla with his first visit to Shimla as Prime Minister of India respectively.
