Answering the call from West Bengal Cleric for shaving his head with Rs 10 lakh bounty as fatwa, Sonu Nigam came thundering down with Media Press by shaving his head and asking Maulavi be ready keep your 10 lakh.
Considering the drama hues and cries in the media that followed has made Sonu Nigam to take up this solution that has further escalating the news.
“I only spoke against the use of loudspeakers. Everybody has a right to his opinion. I have the right to have an opinion and it should not be misconstrued. Loudspeakers are not a necessity; they are not a part of any religion,” Nigam was quoted with media and press offering his stance on nationwide controversy.
This all started when Sonu Nigam tweeted on Monday about the use of loudspeakers in Muslim daily prayers’s Azaan referring this practice as Gundagardi. This followed social media for criticising, praising and being trolled for clarifications about his tweets. Even maulavi claiming fatwa for shaving his head and torn-shoes garland to be put around his neck to which he protested by shaving his head himself.
Sonu Nigam further speculated that “I don’t believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity to wake up people who don’t follow the religion. Why then..? Honest? True? Gundagardi hai bus”, tagging along chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis into this matter.
