YOGI ADITYANATH LED CABINET WAIVES OFF LOAN WORTH RS 36,000 CRORE

As per their election manifesto BJP, Yogi Adityanath cabinet on its first meeting on Tuesday gave a sigh of relief to large community of farmers by waving off loan worth Rs 36,000 crore.

Cabinet Minister Siddharth Nath Singh said that nine important decisions were taken by cabinet meetings. He also confirmed of closing 26 illegal slaughterhouses following the directives from National Green Tribunal.

All loans of Rs 1 Lakh which was taken by small and marginal farmers have less than five acres holding until March 31, 2016 is subjected to be waived off. Cabinet also decided to let loans of worth Rs 5,630 cr to the 7 lakh farmers as Non-Performing assets for writing it off.

Singh also said that total expenditure on these two major decisions is going to cost the state around Rs 36,359 crore which in turn would be raised through ‘Kishan Rahat Bond’ making sure the budget deficit stays with 3% of the limit.

Cabinet also announced the decision to set up 5,000 wheat purchasing centers across the state avoiding middleman so allowing farmers to sell their produce direct to these centers by using Aadhar cards or lands paper specifically.
